The Dingles History

The Past and Present

Dingles Motor Group is a family run business, which was founded in 1919 by George Arthur Dingle and has now been in business for almost 100years.

Dingles Timeline 

1919 - The company was founded by Grandfather George Arthur Dingle initially with a Blacksmith shop and then with commercial vehicles

1947 - George Henry Dingle, son of George Arthur joined the company. He had incompassed over the years Ford, BMC and Triumph franchises

1979 - John Dingle joined the company with just the Ford franchise

1996 - Dingles took on the Toyota franchise in Attleborough

2002 - Toyota franchise in Norwich joined the Dingles Group

2003 - The Toyota franchise in Lowestoft which originally run by Gooch Motors was taken on

2008 - Dingles won the Subaru & Isuzu franchises in Norwich

2011 - Lexus Norwich Service is now run out of Dingles in Norwich

Today the business is still overseen personally by John Dingle and the company employs over 125 staff across the group. All staff at Dingles share a common goal and that is 'Complete Customer Satisfaction' ensuring that the customer is always put first.
 

Dingles as a business endeavours to deliver outstanding customer service, as both a retailer and repairer of new and used vehicles. This is why the cornerstone of the company’s philosophy is to always deliver high quality and measurable customer care, ensuring that the highest standards are met and to constantly be meeting customer satisfaction.
